Christmas vs. Xmas

Yes! Christmas has arrived once again. Christmas time is one of my favorite times of the year because everyone is so happy and wishing you a "Merry Christmas." But have you noticed that people will say "Merry Xmas"? There is one reason for this. They want to get rid of the real purpose of Christmas which is celebrating our saviors birth. Thats why is Xmas, because the X is crossing out the word Christ in Christmas. So when ever someone says to you "Merry Xmas", tell them this "Its called Christmas."

I see your point, but people just don't understand the meaning of Xmas. "Χριστος" is the Greek word for "Christ." The abbreviation began a very long time ago and carried meaning then. However, nowadays... this isn't common knowledge.

Curtis,

Very nice blog. You used this as an excellent witnessing tool. You did a great job at pointing your readers to Christ. You could have used some pictures to "liven" the page up. 98%
